The Post and Courier’s weather section today (page 10B on the back of the ‘Local & State’ section) says that Friday in Charleston will be “Mostly sunny and delightful.”
The daily gets their weather forecasts from Accuweather.com, and at that site I can’t find any usage of “delightful” in their forecasts. So is P&C having a company picnic on Friday or something? What’s with the adjectives?
Unfortunately there’s no link to an online version — this appears to be print only. And lest I seem to oppose the embellishment, in truth I support it wholeheartedly. Weather’s always so boring to talk about already.
Here’s hoping tomorrow is “Partly cloudy and congenial” and Thursday “Sunny and satisfying.”
