One of the ’80’s iconic films, The Big Chill, is being remade with an all-black, modernized cast. The movie will use the original script as a template, but update the story for a group of friends who came of age in the ’90s. Regina King, actress of “24″ and “Enemy of the State” fame, will produce and star. It’s yet to be determined whether they’ll film in Beaufort, where the original film was set.

"Way back in the days when the grass was still green
and the pond was still wet
and the clouds were still clean,
and the song of the Swomee-Swans rang out in space...
one morning, I came to this glorious place."
